It's my first theme in a while (which is crazy considering this is a theme show). Tonight's theme is reflective of the trip that I took two weeks ago to New York. I was going to do this last week, but then Isaac Brock and Naheed Simjee asked to come on and who am I to say no. How To Make A Mixtape is really taking off and there will definitely be more guests coming. For now, though, I am happy to get back to live DJing on air. I had begun to miss the improvisational nature of it all.
With all of my themes I try to cover as much musical ground as possible and New York has been a muse to almost everyone for as long as music has been recorded. This show is especially dedicated to all of the people at Enid's in Greenpoint who were so good to me when I DJed there.
